The Normandy

Across from Good Neighbor Baptist Church, the same church where the Battle of Faerun took place, is an apartment complex with a small courtyard. There is no snow on the ground, but there is plenty of trash. About 10 People hang are hanging out even in the middle of the day drinking from brown paper bags. The buildings, built in the 70’s are plain brown brick and all the windows are barred. Each building is 6 stories, and it is obvious the no smoking sign means nothing the moment you enter. The smell is overwhelming for your enhanced senses. The lobby fairly large with brown subway tiles, and a small counter decorated with multicolored imitation quartz. There is no one there. Next to it is an old third party ATM. A grey box with a cracked screen and an obviously broken camera.

The lights of the lobby flickr, casting shadows in a stutter around the room. Blood runs across the floor of the lobby, flowing like a sentient puddle. Roaches cling to almost every surface, and they seem to skitter from time to time.
